Trade-ready Steam accounts (past the 15-day hold)
Steam Guard has been active for more than 15 days, completing that initial restriction. You receive the login, original mailbox and authentication material; other trading and Market requirements still apply.
What the 15 days completes
Steam requires Guard to have been enabled for 15 days before trading or Community Market access. This tier has already served that period. It removes that initial obstacle, but does not establish that every requirement for your next action has been met.
Community Market access also requires an unlimited account and eligible purchase history. Those are separate from Guard age. Check the account notice and Steam trading and Market requirements before relying on same-day access.
What it does not unlock
Completing the initial Guard period does not remove every account restriction or item cooldown. Security changes can also affect when you can trade:
- Transferring the authenticator uses the applicable Steam process and can introduce a restriction. Downloading a maFile is a separate action; it is not an import into the official Steam Mobile app.
- Removing the mobile authenticator triggers a 15-day trading and Market restriction. Disabling Steam Guard also prevents trading and Market use.
- A password reset or cancellation of an accepted trade on hold can impose a restriction. An ordinary password change is different from a password reset.

Who this tier suits
Buyers who want the initial Guard period already completed rather than waiting for a fresh account to reach that point. Plan any further security changes and check the eligibility requirements for the trade or marketplace you intend to use.
If you are stocking up for later, a fresh account is the same account earlier in the same process, for less. If a specific marketplace has told you it wants an older account than this, compare accounts over two months old against that marketplace's current rules.
How we count it
The age shown on each account in your dashboard is measured from when Guard was enabled, not from when the account was registered. Those dates answer different eligibility questions. Anything listed as trade-ready is past day fifteen at the time you buy it.
What arrives with it
Steam login details, the original mailbox credentials with retained registration correspondence, a downloadable maFile, shared secret, identity secret and revocation code. Compatible software uses the material for login codes and supported trade or Market listing confirmations; confirmations also require a signed-in account session.
You complete the password, recovery and two-factor changes after delivery. Review the access package and handover checklist before planning your first trade.
